The iPhone and iPad supports IMAP. IMAP will allow you to view emails and folders from multiple devices and keep all of them in sync.
Follow these steps to create a new IMAP connection to your CIIC email account on an Apple iOS device like the iPad or iPhone:
- On the iPhone, navigate to Settings.
- Tap Mail, and then select Accounts.
- Tap Add Mail Account.
- Complete the Name, Address (email address), Password and Description fields. Description can be anything you choose to identify this account. (contact support if you do not have this information)
- Click Next (this may take a minute).
- Since we offer standard IMAP email your device will not be able to find your email settings automatically, you need to enter them manually.
- Click Next once again.
- Ensure IMAP is selected.
- Enter your incoming mail server information:
- Hostname is normally mail.yourdomain.com (contact support if you do not have this information)
- Username is NOT your full email address. Our servers use a separate email address and username for higher security. (contact support if you do not have this information)
- Password is the same password used to access webmail
- Enter your outgoing mail server information:
